When I finally pulled myself away from the TV, I came down to my office and looked at the site www.newyork.com at some pictures of the two towers.  There are a few panoramic images taken at the top.  It looks like an observation deck with little coin-operated telescopes.  This means it was quite probable that this morning there were people at the very top of the tower, enjoying the view.  Can you image what it would be like to suddenly notice that an approching jet seems to be a little too low?  And then watch as it slams into the building you are currently on? 

Watching the towers collapse live on the news was very surreal.  I'm still feeling a little numb from watching it.
