Geneology

Ever wonder about your ancestry? Having a relatively uncommon last name inspired me to use the various search engines out there to look through the Internet for references to my last name. I've found references to Littleys in BC, Ontario, scattered throughout the United States, England, and a few in Austrailia and New Zealand. This further inspired me to start researching my own family. Meanwhile, quite a few other Littleys, who had the same idea of searching the Internet, have contacted me, either through email or through my guestbook. Haven't confirmed any long lost cousins yet, but hopefully one day I'll be able to find a link between my family tree and others out there.

So if you're a Littley and happen across my web page, sign my guestbook! If you've done research into your own family tree, email me and we'll compare notes.

So far, I've found out as far back as my great-great-grandfather John Littley. He was married to Caroline Holden and had five kids. They all lived in a town called Ogley Hay, in Staffordshire, England.

John Littley - Born 1821
Caroline Holden - Born 1830

Children
John Littley - Born 1849
Mary Littley - Born 1862
Joseph Littley - Born December 23, 1864 (my great-grandfather)
Thomas Littley - Born 1868
Samuel James Littley - Born 1869

I think that either John, Thomas, or Samuel settled in the Ontario area about the same time that Joseph settled in British Columbia. So I think that all the Littley's out in Ontario are 2nd or 3rd cousins. Still looking for a solid connection.
