Well, time for a new brain.  Be warned, this is going to be strictly babbling.   The page needs-a-changing.

Work is going ok.  It has eased off from working on 9 different projects for six different clients to working on two projects for two clients.  It's quite nice to be able to focus on one thing at a time rather than be pulled in a bunch of different directions at once.  I start work for a new client in October, so that should be interesting.  And with things easing off a bit, I'm trying to devote a little time to studying for some Evilsoft Certification exams.  (Yea, I know I've been intending to take those exams for years now, but you never know, it might happen this time)

In the never-ending battle against my gut, I have signed up for Karate classes.   Bonnie has too.  I had trained for a few months about a decade ago, but with going to university and starting my career, I never got back into it.   I forgot how much I enjoyed it.

I wonder how many of these fonts will actually show through on all the computers out there.  I guess the world will never know.

A couple of trips are in my near future.  I've got a business to Vancouver Island in the middle of October, and soon after a long weekend trip down to Portland, Orogan.  (Airmiles rule!)  Although I have misgivings about visiting the states and spending any money down there, it will be cool visiting Clay, and seeing a city I have never seen before.

I recently bought the next instance of Visual Basic - Visual Basic.NET.  So far from what I've seen, it looks like they are trying to drift towards C++.  They've completely revamped the error trapping system to a one that has been in C++ for eons.  And it looks like they've added more object orientated structures like class inheritance.
