I was in Overwaitea the other day and they had a sale on computer books - up to 80% off. I was in heaven. Needless to say, I got a few. One of them was a book on CCS and DHTML (for $6). It was a little out of date, as the browsers it was geared for were the 4.x versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer, but I muddled through it.

There is quite a lot you can do with a web site beyond just simple HTML. I had been itching to redo my site for a while (yet again) so what you see before you is it. I only experimented with the positioning and layers capabilities, but there is a lot more you can do, including animations and drag and drop.

I still find that there are subtle differences between what Internet Explorer shows and what Netscape shows. Pity.
