I think I have a subconscious goal to convert one of them.  That must be the reason I actually try to argue with them.  Every other sentence out of this guy's mouth started with "The bible says..."  I think the main problem they have is that there is no doubt in their mind that everything in the bible happened.  They just can't fathom that some of it may have been made up.

He was one of the creationists that I mentioned in my last 'brain'.  I tried to make him see that evolution makes more sense, but he just went back to his "The bible says...".

We need a new religion.  The religion of common sense.  If the world is going to mature and survive, we need to stop deluding ourselves.

The fact that Bush got another 4 years seems to indicate that this isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I think having a child now makes me more concerned about the world he's going to grow up in.
