Writing

Hopefully one day my name will appear in the science fiction or horror section of your local book store.  But sadly, the time requirements of my career take precedence, so it will probably be a while.  In the mean time, the occasionally short story has managed to come to fruition.

Mount Doug - This was a story writing exercise in a course I took once in White Rock.  It is the only non-fiction work in the list.

What Would You Do? - This is both a poem and a story.  It was conceived on one of my many trips to Castlegar, where the mind has little else to do but drive and think.

AIF is a science fiction role-playing game that has been the seed for many a story idea.  It is here that I let the darker aspect of my psyche come out and play.  I have completed four AIF stories and they are listed here.

The Tundak - This was an attempt to directly write about part of an AIF game where I was the referree, except the protagonist and the antagnoists are the reverse of what they were in the game.

Beasts - This story is more of an introduction to a much larger story that Clay and I have envisioned.  The current working title for the much larger story is "The AIF Movie".

78 - In AIF, we have these things called Darkken Droids.  We're actually thinking of dropping them from the published game, and just play with them ourselves for fun.  In all honesty, they're kind of silly.  But nevertheless, I quite enjoyed writing about how evil they are meant to be.  There's 'just a little bit of tortrue' in this one, so if that makes you squemish, don't read it.

My story "The Table" has few actual references to the various AIF settings, and can easily stand alone without any knowledge of the AIF universe.  This is the largest story I have ever completed, and I was quite proud of it when it was done.  However, before getting to the link below, I would like to indicate who SHOULD NOT READ THIS STORY!

Mom.
Any of my clients.
People who don't like horror stories.
People who don't understand that expressing your dark side is the best way to control it.

If you are not one of these people, then by all means... The Table
